We are building an online game about Canadian English: its words, spellings, meanings, expressions, regional differences and everyday uses.
You begin with little more than an open meadow and your knowledge of Canadian English. What happens from there?
That’s something we’d rather let you discover.
YOUR FIRST JOB: MAKE SOME DISCOVERIES
Match a word to its meaning. Choose a Canadian spelling. Recognize an expression. Decide where or how a word may be used. Some answers may seem obvious. Others may make you stop and think. And every once in a while, we hope you find yourself saying, “I didn’t know that.”
There is always more Canadian English to discover. If we have not yet reached a word, expression or usage you would like to see explored, tell us about it. Your suggestion will be researched and reviewed for inclusion in a future question.
WHAT DO YOU GET FOR PLAYING?
There can be thousands of little wins: finding the right answer, learning something you didn’t know, rediscovering something familiar, contributing an idea, and watching your open meadow change as you play.
What begins as an open landscape can gradually become a visible record of what you have discovered, contributed and built. What might eventually take its place in your meadow? We would rather let you discover that as you go.
The game is Canadian in subject, but participation is open to anyone curious about Canadian English. You progress by discovering, learning, contributing and building.

We need Founding Testers willing to spend about five minutes exploring the game and then tell us the truth: Was it clear? Was it fun? Did you discover something? Would you contribute something? Would you play again?
